Just Landed | Hourglass Stick Foundation + Brush

When a box from Hourglass landed on my doorstep I was more than excited to test the product inside. I've never used a stick foundation before and couldn't wait to give this one a go (especially since I had seen Lou Teasdale post about it a few or so prior). I was so curious to see how it would wear versus my standard liquid foundations and BB Creams. I was also super intrigued to see how application would go. I was pleasantly surprised on all accounts...

I applied this foundation in two stripes across my cheeks, one across my forehead, one on my chin, and a small bit down my nose. I then buffed it in with the Vanish Foundation Brush. The formula of the foundation is super creamy, incredibly blendable, and not heavy at all. It helps with color correcting and evening out the skintone but don't feel thick or cakey. It has a very skin-like finish. The brush is fantastic - super soft, very dense (so product doesn't get trapped all in it), and buffs a very flawless finish into the skin.

What I love most about these two products is how travel friendly they are. The stick is slim and also TSA friendly (yay for one less liquid) and the brush is compact and can fit easily into any bag. The nature of the products also mean they are easy to throw in your bag and apply touch ups on the go. I can also see myself using a liquid foundation in the morning and bringing this along during the day to touch up before evening events.
