Well, can you spot a theme here lol? Clearly my brain has been on "Fall mode" for the past month. After getting back from Miami and then the beach with my family, I immediately went into the whole "I'm ready for cooler weather" phase. I definitely took my longing to get out of the heat wave we we've been having out on my makeup stash.
Becca Ombré Rouge Palette : Since I just reviewed this in full yesterday, I'll link up that post for a more detailed look at the palette. The quick version - it's the perfect round up of everyday warm toned shades. Pigmentation is beautiful, little fall out, and they are super easy to blend. FULL POST LINK.
Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick 'Lolita' : The lovely Sarah of Sarah Loves Makeup scored this for me last year (when it was so impossible to find) and it's become a front runner in my stash this month. It's that perfect shade that isn't too deep/vampy and isn't too light. Sephora calls it a "chestnut rose" and it reads as a very medium brown on the lips. It has a velvety matte finish and is incredibly comfortable and long-lasting. The formula is thin but not runny making application super easy. It can get a bit patchy, but since the formula is thin you can comfortably layer it up to get full opacity.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara : This also popped up in a post the other week which I will link to. The quick notes - it's super waterproof (a good and a bad thing), jet black, and fully of drama. I get so many compliments on my lashes while wearing this. It keeps my straight lashes super curled, lengthens them, and makes them nice and dark. FULL POST LINK.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush 'Mood Exposure' : Like most blushes in my collection, Mood Exposure is a nude/easy to wear with any look type of shade. It is a nude with plum undertones (less brown than some of my other shades) and has a very pretty stain finish. No shimmer - just the right amount of sheen. It applies beautifully - it has a very smooth/finely milled finish and melts into the skin. Like most Hourglass products it gives that soft focus effect.
NARS Yachiyo Kabuki Brush : To go along with the blush above, I've been pulling out my NARS Yachiyo Kabuki brush. It is the perfect shape for adding blush and blending everything in seamlessly.
Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize 'Marie Antoinette' : On days when I don't have time to blend out shadows, I've been turning to my CT cream products. Either my Color Chameleon pencil or my Eyes to Mesmerize pot. It is so easy to throw on and blend out for a quick, but impactful eye look. Marie Antoinette is a gorgeous copper/bronze shade with warm undertones and the prettiest metallic finish.
