NARS Summer 2016 Review

When pieces from the NARS Summer collection landed on my doorstep I couldn't get the box opened fast enough. The collection is filled with bronzy, warm toned neutrals and some gorgeous limited edition pieces.

I love how the shades in this collection aren't your typical summer bright pops of color, but instead sandy tones that compliment glowing, tanned skin perfectly.

Dual Intensity Blush 'Sexual Content' : Last summer the Dual Intensity Blush Fervor was one of my most used, so I was super excited to see this duo added to the line. On the left is a sandy peach shade complimented by soft raspberry shade on the right. I've been reaching for the raspberry shade most - wearing it dry since they are already so pigmented! However, when I've got a bit of a tan this duo will be gorgeous applied with a wet brush!

Dual Intensity Eye Shadow 'Topless' : On of my all time favorite bronze shadows is the Dual Intensity shade 'Telesto' (I love wearing it wet for a metallic finish on the eye), so I was excited to add a shade completely opposite to Telesto to my collection. Topless is a light seashell pink with the perfect amount of shimmer running through it. I love using this as a highlight. It's just the right amount of pink as well - still fairly neutral without a ton of frost to it.

Lip Cover 'Get Dirty' & 'Overheated' : The Lip Covers are highly pigmented liquid lipsticks that dry down but still keep a lustrous finish - they never look fully matte. This is nice because they don't settle into all the fine lines of your lips. Both shades are warm toned, gorgeous neutrals. 'Get Dirty' is a desert rose shade and the lighter of the two. 'Overheated' is a Deep Dusty Rose with a definite 'Kylie' vibe to it.

Have you picked up any of the new NARS collection?

Ps: All of the products in this collection are limited edition (and come in the most adorable beachy packaging) so snag items while you can!

*All items in this post were gifted to me c/o NARS. As always, all opinions and thoughts are my own!
