January was a month of rediscovering for me - pulling out old favorites and learning to rework them. I attribute that to brainstorming for my top 2015 post and my month of no-spending (more on that tomorrow).
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette* : I've been pulling this palette out a ton this past month - it's the most natural, lit from within highlight I own. It gives such a gorgeous, flawless finish as well. The highlight itself gives a glow, but isn't sparkly or overdone. I tend to use Incandescent Light the most - but also love to blend all three together as well.
Urban Decay Naked Concealer + Beauty Blender : This is a concealer I have had such a love, hate relationship with. Sarah inspired me to pull it out the other week and I'm so glad I gave it another chance. It might just be the weather or the way my skin is at the moment, but it seems to be working a lot better. I tend to let it sink in for a few minutes (something I wasn't doing before and I step I think is really important) and then use a damp beauty blender to blend it out.
Too Faced Primed & Poreless Powder : This is another product that had gotten lost in the bottom of my makeup bag for a while that I brought back out this month. In addition to my Kat Von D Shade + Light palette I've been using this to help set my base makeup.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask : This product has been such a savior this month. It's my favorite item to pull out when my skin is feeling so blah and dry. I use it both at night and in the morning. The best results seem to be at night though - I leave it on for about an hour and then rinse it off and when I wake up my skin feels so much better.
Pixi Glow Mud Mask* : My second mask of choice this month, this is one that does a great job at making my skin feel a bit more cleansed and cleaned out. I'll put this one on and leave it for about 10 minutes or so and then rinse it off.
Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer "Pretty Thing" : This gloss and my next favorite have been on serious repeat (I think you're all probably bored of seeing it by now)! This MJ glosses are seriously the most glossy glosses on the market. They also have a slight mint scent which is super refreshing.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick "Pure Hollywood" : My favorite liquid lipstick at the moment - it's beyond long lasting, the color is beautiful, and it dries down quickly (but not too quickly that you can't fix it/perfect it).
Becca Cosmetics Ombré Rouge Eye Shadow Palette : This palette was on high rotation back a few months ago and I brought it back out this month. The middle shade has been my jam this month. The pink-ish mauve shade is a gorgeous neutral to pair with a cat eye. It also works beautifully with my Naked3 palette.
Zoeva Brush #134* : This brush has been a new favorite this month, it's a fluffier brush that blends things out flawlessly - no harsh lines!
