All That Glitters...

It's official, I'm fully addicted to all things glitter + gloss. From rock and roll smudgy gloss to disco-era high impact glitter, I want it all. I've discovered a few products recently that easily achieve these looks and haven't been able to put them down.

Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner 'Midnight Cowboy' & 'Junkshow'* : These glitter liners are hands down the easiest way to apply/wear glitter. Unlike applying a pigment; there is no adhesive needed, no fall out, and precision is easy to achieve. I've already worn these quite a few ways - as traditional liner, all over the lid, and also in my inner corner/bottom lashes. They are highly pigmented and dry down really well. I find that once dried, these stay put and don't move around much until I remove them.

MAC Studio Eye Gloss 'Spank Me' : Totally inspired by Lottie Tomlinson, I had to snag this gloss when it launched during the holidays. It's been one of my favorite products to wear on a night out. I apply this with my hands and don't worry about it being super precise (it's meant to look creasy and lived in)! Paired with kohl liner on the bottom, lots of lashes, and nude lips this look is dramatic and super fun.

Over time I've also discovered a few tricks to wear these looks. For both glitter and gloss I make sure to keep all product below my crease line. Since my lids are slightly hooded this helps to keep the product from transferring everywhere and becoming a giant mess up at my eyebrows. I also tend to keep my hair sleek and a bit more done. This helps to balance the grungier eye look and keep me looking pulled together.

What are your thoughts on glitter & gloss. Are you on board with these eye trends and have you tried either? Let me know in the comments below!
