I think highlighters have seriously taken over my bathroom skin/morning routine. Basically I've been bathing myself in highlight for the past few weeks and loving ever minute of it. Give me all the glow possible. That being said today's post is a round-up of favorites that have upped my beauty game.
NARS 'Satellite of Love Highlight' : First off, this palette is just a yes an in every way. I love that the selection for this one is a bit different than their standard palettes. Things like Casino being the bronzer over Laguna and blushes other than Orgasm really stood out to me. But, I digress...we're here to talk about the highlight. Satellite of Love is a beautiful, warm highlight that packs a serious shimmer - perfect for a night out. For those of you who don't like highlighters with a lot of shimmer this one definitely isn't for you.
Becca x Jaclyn Hill 'Champagne Pop' : Ahh this one ranks in my top two picks along with the Hourglass palette. I cannot praise this bad boy enough. Jaclyn, you did us proud! Champagne Pop is a seriously gorgeous golden toned highlight with a peachy undertone. It definitely packs a punch and is super pigmented, leaving behind a stunning glow. The formula is beautiful as well, creamy and easy to apply.
NARS 'Reckless' : Reckless comes from the NARS "Nudes" collection and is a cooler toned pink that is one of the more glittery ones in the line up. I love using this on top of a matte blush to add a bit of shimmer and glow.
NARS 'Miss Liberty' : This one is definitely a very neutral shade compared to all the others so far but with peachy undertones and a lot of shimmer.
MAKE 'Matte Dew'* : This is the product for anyone looking to get a tone of glow without any shimmer/glitter. This formula gives a very dewy/glowing appearance, has just the slightest tint of color, and gives an overall perfecting appearance. It's ideal for no-makeup-makeup days.
Hourglass 'Ambient Lighting Palette'* : Hands down my favorite product of the bunch. This palette contains everything from a more bronzy highlight to a super cool-toned highlight. They have just the right amount of sheen without being glittery and their formula is super creamy. They blend onto the skin flawlessly, giving a very airbrushed finish. I use these on my cheekbones, brown bone, inner corner, as eye shadows, and sometimes all over the cheek. I love using them individually as well as mixing them together. They also layer really nicely with Champagne Pop.
Now I'm curious, what are your favorite highlighters of all time? Do share!
