Skincare First Impression | SK-II & Sunday Riley

I've recently had the opportunity to test out some incredible new skincare bits. While I haven't had them long enough to do a full review, I wanted to do a first impressions post. So far, they've both been working incredibly well and I can't wait to see the long term results.

I want to first start off with a little bit of a disclaimer - both of these are definitely high-end luxury items. I've been very lucky in that one was included in a package deal dropping it's cost and the other is a gifted sample. With that little bit out there - let's get to reviewing!

SK-II Facial Treatment Cleanser : While attending an event at the amazing Sherber & Rad offices (a local boutique dermatologist) I was introduced to this cleanser. After hearing rave reviews from Dr. Sherber herself, resident makeup artist Enrique, and clientele coordinator Zoe I knew it was coming home with me. This cleanser starts out as a creamy texture and upon addition of water foams up. This is the first cleanser I've owned that seriously only needs a pea sized amount. (Most other cleansers I've ever used have required way more than the suggested amount.) Using this I get a deep cleanse that removes everything but super stubborn waterproof mascara without stripping my skin.

Sunday Riley Artemis Oil* : Sunday Riley just screams luxury when it comes to skincare in my opinion. I've tested their famous Good Genes before and love it so when Artemis landed on my doorstep I was ecstatic. One thing I definitely must mention first though is the smell - this product has a very unique and strong scent due to the natural ingredients. (If you are sensitive to scents I highly recommend taking a sniff of this one before purchasing.) That said - the product itself has been working so well I've been using it nightly regardless of the scent. The oil is thick and hydrating, gives a plumping effect, and has also been helping with redness as well as evening out my skin.

So far, these two products have definitely been living up to their labels and I can't wait to see how they progress. I'll definitely be reporting back after some extended use.

Have any of your used either of these skincare bits? What skincare are you loving at the moment?

  7. I really want to try Luna! I've heard so many great things about it. Good Genes and the Ceramic Slip don't bother me (smell wise) but Artemis is just a tad stronger!

  9. I just discovered your blog and I see enough topics that would normally lead to me hitting the subscribe button, but I just cannot read this infinitessimally tiny font. Slightly bigger?
