May Beauty Favorites

Another month, another round-up of favorites! This month includes a few warm weather staples, the best non-middle school high shine lipgloss, and the base you're all probably tired of seeing ;)

Marc Jacobs Enamored Lipgloss 'Pretty Thing' : The most sophisticated high-gloss shine to ever grace my makeup bag. This gloss is super long lasting, smooth (not sticky by any means), gives the perfect nude/pink tint, and has a high-gloss finish that gives off a plumping effect.

Maybelline Volum' Express, The Colossal Mascara : Maybelline usually tends to win the mascara game in my opinion. My standard go-to being their Full N' Soft mascara - which gives light, long, and fluttery lashes. To change it up a bit, I've been loving the Volum' Express Colossal mascara. This gives a bit more of a defined, jet black lash. It can be built up to have that spidery look (that I really love on bottom lashes) or just quickly swiped on for full, thick black lashes.

Chanel CC Cream : How could I do a May favorites without including this coveted base that has graced pretty much every post or Instagram this month?! This base ticks off every box on my list - long lasting, good coverage, light weight, and dewy. I used another foundation the other morning just to change it up a bit and two hours into the morning totally regretted not using my Chanel. It's that good.

Tom Ford Cream + Powder Eyeshadow Duo 'Golden Peach'* : I've been loving this duo both layered together for a quick but effective daytime look. This combo gives the perfect pink tint that has been on trend, but the shimmer overlay helps to add a coppery tone to the mix - keeping you from looking pink-eye-ish. A little goes a long way with these products (the pigmentation is incredible) and they blend flawlessly.

Elizabeth & James Nirvana White : An old favorite I repurchased the other weekend. I picked up the tube while browsing through Sephora and instantly remembered why I loved it so much. Last summer it was just about the only scent I wore and I used up my whole tube. I decided to snag it again and couldn't be happier.

Tom Ford Cream Cheek Color 'Pink Sand'* : Another repeat offender from Instagram and the blog. This cream cheek product is hands down the best one I own. The way that it blends in is almost foul-proof. It can be layered up to build color or just worn as a sheer wash. The pink also has a hint of golden highlight running through it, making it the perfect summer blush.

Essie Polish 'Find Me An Oasis' : My good friend Dani (who is my nail twin for life) gifted this gorgeous shade to me for my birthday. She knows as much as I love a great vampy/dark nail, I also can't resist light blue/mint shades. This color is much lighter than some of it's other counter parts (like Bikini So Teeny) and gives off an icy, cool finish.

  27. Sadly it is crazy expensive to ship to Canada :(
Their lipsticks and perfume are available at Nordstrom in Canada but not the rest of their products yet!

  28. How disappointing! I wonder if the counter at Nordstrom can order them for you and waive shipping? They have fantastic customer service!

  30. Essie Find Me An Oasis is a stunning shade! I'm tempted by the Marc Jacobs Lip Glosses as well, i'm glad to hear it's not sticky. Lip glosses are definitely having a comeback at the moment.

  36. That Tom Ford eyeshadow duo look so pretty! Actually it all does-probably a good thing we can't get TF in New Zealand haha. x

    ReplyDelete
  37. Aw thank you! I shot each frame with my camera, edited the individual images in Photoshop (brightness, etc) to make sure they all looked the same coloring, and then I used Photoshop to create and export the GIF! It's super easy to do in Photoshop. Open the files as a stack and then add a timeline and then save for web!

  38. You can't get TF at all in New Zealand?! Not even ordering it??

  39. Thank you so much! I've gotta try that

  40. No we can't :(. I could order it online from Nordstrom (I think) but no stores here sell it.
