Happy Weekend + Friday Favorites

Happy Friday everyone! This week has been a bit nuts, lots of projects, a few events, and all that fun stuff. I figured I would close out the week with a few favorites/things I've been loving.

-The gorgeous Latasha opened up her print shop recently (That Perfect Print) and kindly surprised me with this adorable custom blog print. I love having this at my desk and it looks adorable hung up with my silver glitter washi tape!

-Summer fragrance - both of these two beauties remind me of warm summer nights and I can't get enough. 1 | Elizabeth & James Nirvana White 2 | Tom Ford Shimmering Body Oil

-I've also been seriously loving Stephanie's blog (Cocochic). I mentioned her during my 100 Happy Things post and I stand by how awesome her content is. I love her Tip Tuesdays as well as her awesome style.

-I picked up two awesome beauty items this week. 1 | inspired by Kylie Jenner, the MAC lip liner in "Stripdown" a seriously good cool-brown tone & 2 | The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Mask (a Suzie influenced purchase). Upon first impression, I'm absolutely loving both. I'm sure they will be popping up on the blog soon.

-Lastly, as of yesterday I'm attempting to cut out sugar/sweets. I have a huge and I mean huge sweet tooth so this will be a bit of a challenge. I'm not looking forward to the headache I'll probably be sporting by the end of today. I'm using peppermint tea to try and help curb my cravings and adding a bit of vanilla extract to my morning coffee in place of creamer. If any of you have any suggestion, throw them my way please & thank yous!

  1. I don't have a sweet tooth but I avoid any kind of sweets cause you get addicted if you start eating them :) Instead I eat a lot of fruits, everything that's in season like strawberries, raspberries etc. or I just make a smoothie and that's my sugar of the day.

  2. Oh my gosh, good luck on the sweets front! I always try it but end up scarfing down a chocolate scone (totally not happening right at this moment...). I think it would be harder for me to give up salty things. The print is so cute as well! Love all of those items.

  3. To avoid eating lots of sweets, I always always carry fruit with me. Kicks that craving straight to the curb.

    I'm so excited to see the latest issue of Bazaar here... I may have to run down to my mailbox to see if my copy is in!

    I've been loving this little sample of Diptyque L'Ombre dans L'eau shower gel this week. Such a fresh scent!

  5. Yes to White Nirvana! I've been loving it lately, too! If you're trying to cut sugar, remember to drink a lot of water and if you are craving sweets, try dates! They're good for you, but still sweet enough to satisfy cravings! You can also pair it with all natural nut butter for an extra boost of fat and protein.


  6. Smoothies are a great option, I also really love making acai bowls and adding coconut and almonds to it!

  7. Ugh that's what usually happens - I haven't had any sweets yet though! I even managed to survive national doughnut day lol

  8. I've been trying to stock up on fruit! It's always hard though because I never end up eating it all before it needs to be tossed out!! I hate that.

  9. Ooh that sounds amazing - I didn't know Diptyque did shower gels! I have my eye on one of their fragrances for my next splurge purchase!

  10. Ahh I know, dates just have a texture that I can't seem to get past though!! I have used them in baking though and the muffins turned out really well!
