For myself personally NARS is one of those brands that can do no wrong. When they say jump, I say how high (or in beauty terms when they say "new release" - I say "I'll take one of each please"). I really can't pinpoint a product by NARS that I didn't instantly love. It was also the first high end brand to infiltrate my bathroom counter years ago. Maybe it's that sleek matte black packaging that has me head over heels, but NARS definitely has my heart.
When the emails for the Spring collection launched I did a double take. The stunning barely there nudes were so fresh and beautiful. Upon seeing them in person they didn't disappoint either. Along with the Spring collection they launched a new foundation. Read on below for a break down of the products and why they would be good to snag.
All Day Luminous, Weightless Foundation: When it comes to this foundation there are a few important factors to know. Unlike sheer glow this is a matte product and due to the long lasting abilities you must be seriously moisturized for this guy to work. Ladies with oiler skin...this one is definitely for you. If your skin is more like mine (pretty dang dry) then you'll want to be careful with this foundation. If your skin isn't totally prepped, super hydrated, and moisturized then this can cling to dry patches and it won't give you that "your skin but better look". Moving onto the actual formula...when applied to properly prepped skin this stuff is beyond beautiful. The formula is super fluid so a little goes a very long way. This product is buildable so it's best to start with less and add as you go. The formula leaves behind a very lightweight feel with a lot of coverage.
Reckless Blush: For myself personally I really don't consider this product to be a blush per say. It's really more of a highlighter than anything else. Unlike your standard NARS blushers, the pink shade doesn't come out super pigmented on the skin. Instead I love to use this as a layering tool. I pair this one overtop of Orgasm or even just Laguna if I'm going for a bronzier look. The shimmer in this product leaves behind a stunning highlight over the cheek bones. It is a cooler toned, frosty highlight so if you are more of a golden-tone person this one may not be for you.
Velvet Lip Liner 'El Agua': I didn't think I could love a lip liner so much. This liner is the ultimate though. Long lasting, creamy formula, and a built in sharpener on the opposite end. This color is an amazing mauve-y neutral. Very Kylie Jenner in a way and super pretty on it's own or paired with another product. While this one isn't part of the limited collection, I snagged it to pair with the new gloss for Spring.
Lipgloss 'Guyane': Part of the Spring release this gloss was so pretty when swatched I had to add it to my basket immediately. I'm not a huge gloss person (I prefer matte lipsticks) but the color was just incredible I couldn't leave it behind. It's one of those that looks totally transformed when swatched/applied.
Creamy Radiant Concealer: Now I know this is not a new release by any means but it is one that I recently added to my collection. For years I would get color matched in this only to find my shade out of stock or decide last minute to put it back and that I would stick with a drugstore find. The other month I finally bit the bullet and brought this cult classic home with me. It's a cult classic for a reason. Hands down my new holy grail concealer. It's high coverage, looks flawless, and never appears cakey. It's definitely one of the best things to happen to my under eye circles.
Phew, if you made it through all of that rambling you deserve an award! Now let me know, did you snag anything from the new collection or are any of these items on your wish list?
