First month of 2015, down! January was filled with some serious staples and a few fun extras...
Blush: An Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush has been on my list for quite some time so when a Sephora gift card landed in my stocking I new it was the perfect opportunity to snag one. I left with Luminous Flush - a perfect peachy/pink with shots of golden highlight lit throughout.
Liquid Lipstick: This is one of those items I've looked at numerous times but always put back right before making my purchase. After finding the Rimmel Provocalips to be a bit of a disappointment I was hoping the much raved about Sephora cream lipsticks would hold up better. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised. They are creamy and easy to apply, leave a matte (yet soft) finish, and have super long lasted power. No flaking or cracking with these!
Concealer: Seeing as I've got probably more NARS in my makeup collection than any other brand it was quite a sin that up until last month I hadn't owned the Creamy Radiant Concealer. I've been color matched countless times only to make a last minute decision to leave without it or come to find out that my shade (Vanilla) was sold out. A few weeks back Vanilla was indeed in stock and I had decided it was finally time to add this one to my collection. Ever since it has graced my makeup stash I have ditched the foundation and only used this guy as my base. Yep, it's that good. A few swipes under my eyes, down my nose, and on any spot that may pop up and I'm ready to head out the door.
Nail Polish: I had a little bit left of my giftcard to use up so I snagged this Nails Inc "Gel Effect" polish. While I'm not totally sold on the "gel" portion, I am completely in love with the color. So many taupe/grey shades look amazing in the bottle, but just not right on my hands. This one is the perfect balance between too light and too dark.
Texturizing Spray: This is a Sarah-influenced purchase and I couldn't thank her more. A lot of texturizing sprays leave my hair greasy or heavy with product. The Oribe formula is definitely worth the price point. It gives my hair an extra bit of volume and just enough texture to transform first day hair into a great second day hair.
Styling Product*: Last week I declared my love for the Living Proof line, especially this styling treatment. It's one of those almost unexplainable products...it just does everything it says. It smooths, gives extra condition, adds volume, and keeps hair looking extra polished.
Eyeliner*: I can't proclaim my love for this one enough, it's not the first or last time it will appear in a monthly favorites. No other liner can compare.
