December Beauty Favorites

December was an amazing beauty month, filled with lots of new products, plenty of sparkle, and a few special rose gold pieces. So before I began sorting through my 2014 overall favorites I wanted to dedicate a post to the final month of the year.

Brushes*: Zoeva does it again! I was so ecstatic when their new line of eye focused brushes landed on my doorstep. Zoeva's brushes are by far the best brushes I own and their eye makeup brushes definitely don't fall short. With a full army of shadow brushes, brow brushes, and liner brushes there is one for every need. I can honestly say that when applying eyeshadow brushes make all the difference. Their blending brush is my absolute favorite - fluffy, soft, and gives an airbrushed finish.

Nail Polish: Over the holiday season I could not get enough of sparkly nail polish. I used Summit of Style continuously; in both accent form and for full on glitter nails on Christmas Eve. I love that the gold isn't a true yellow gold and has more of a rose gold tone. It definitely suites my complexion (and base polish color choices) much better than other glittery shades.

Prep + Prime Highlight: During winter I love nothing more than extra highlight. The Prep + Prime that I snagged has a nice blush pink tone to it that helps to cancel out my under eye circles and works well with my fair skin. I apply it over my foundation in the true Kim K triangle format for an extra lift of my cheekbones.

Eye Makeup Remover: Between my beloved Tom Ford liner and Full n' Soft waterproof mascara I was struggling in the eye makeup removal department. I tweeted a bit with Anna (from Vivianna Does Makeup) and she recommended the Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover and I couldn't love it more. It does such a good job of melting away all of the day's makeup and grime without having to really pull and tug on my eyes.

Eight Hour Cream: This has been on my list for a very long time and I finally found it over the holidays. It does everything and a bit more. My number one use is for super dry and chapped lips (especially now that is winter), but I also love using it on my cuticles/hands, and occasionally to shape and keep my brows in place.

Eyeshadow Quad*: The palette that has gotten the most use in my makeup bag for over a month now. I've even found uses for the coppery-glitter not only in nighttime makeup but also in daytime looks. The lighter shimmer shade has been my go-to base and I love adding the dark burgundy color into my crease. You can click [HERE] to see a full post using the quad, including two different looks.

Lipstick*: This has been my go-to "Kylie Jenner" nude lip over the holidays. Slightly darker than my lips it finishes off smokey/heavy eye makeup perfectly. I love pairing it with my Lip Cheat liner in 'Pillow Talk'.

Candle: First off, how adorable is this tiny Jo Malone candle?! I found it at Nordstrom and couldn't say to no to it (I also haven't had the courage to burn it yet because it is that adorable). The Pomegranate Noir is such a lovely wintery fragrance, and because of the quality of the candle I can still get nice whiffs of the scent when I walk by my dresser. I may never burn this one - who else is with me on not being able to ruin adorable things like that?

    1. Isn't it though?! All of my other nudes are much lighter/pinker (more Kim K than Kylie) so I loved getting something a bit darker to go with some of my liners!

  3. All of these products look amazing, girl! I found a Kate Moss lipstick from Rimmel (no 08) which is a great - and inexpensive - substitute for the Kyle Jenner color as well. I also definitely want to look into the Prep + Prime highlight cause your skin always looks flawless <3

    1. That quad may just trump the Tom Ford Cognac Sable palette for me! It is such a staple go-to. If you can order from Nordstrom that is a great place to snag CT products!
