Well the time has finally come. I rounded up all of my favorites from this year (it was a challenge) and now I get to share them all with you! Due to the amount of product I split this post itself into two sections (first up lips and eyes, followed by face stuff) and tomorrow will be a separate post with skincare/hair and all that good stuff! Alright, if you're ready for quite the chatty post...read on!
Lips + Eyes:
Full N' Soft Mascara: Sarah introduced me to this mascara a few months ago and I have been totally hooked and have worn it almost every day since (I think I'm just about ready for another tube)! It hands down wins for best drugstore mascara I've tried this year. It gives long, fluttery, and super curly lashes.
Lacôme Grandôise Mascara: For my high-end mascara favorite the winner is definitely the latest from Lancôme. The unique wand and twisting motion used to take it out load up the bristles to give the perfect amount of product to coat your lashes. The comb-like bristles give amazing definition to your lashes and the formula gives a "wet, jet black" look.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz: This was a game changing product for me. I went from using powder and a brush to this waxy pencil and never looked back. The tiny nib allows for precise defining and the spoolie brush as the end is an added bonus.
Tom Ford Eye Defining Liquid Liner*: Probably my most holy grail item on here. When this liner runs out I may shed a tear or two. The dual ended pen makes for the most precise liquid lining I've ever had. The felt tip allows for smooth lining and doesn't drag across the lid. The formula is inky black and stays on almost like a tattoo.
Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquid Liner: My absolute favorite drugstore product on here. It is the closest you can get to the Tom Ford on the drugstore shelves. I've been using this one for years and the primary difference between this one and the Tom Ford is how the formula is more watery.
By Terry Ombré Blackstar 'Misty Rock': The formula of this product is creamy, long lasting, and super pigmented. I love to wear it both as an all over color (blended out with my fingers) or as a liner on the top and bottom.
Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Quad 'The Dolce Vita'*: The eyeshadow quad that blew all others out of the water. Even though this was a late 2014 addition it has become a front runner in my day to day routine. My favorite colors are the coppery glitter and the cranberry. The formula is creamy, super pigmented, and there is very little fall out.
M•A•C Eyeshadow 'Soba': The perfect matte shadow to enhance your crease naturally. The color not too dark and not too light and has no grey undertones. The shadow blends beautifully and compliments a lot of the palettes I own.
M•A•C Lip Liners 'Vino' & 'Cherry': If anyone asks me what the best lip liners are I automatically steer them in the direction of M•A•C. With a color to match any lipstick you can't go wrong. Adding one of these keeps lipstick on longer and creates precision when wearing bright colors. My two most used colors this year were definitely Vino for dark, vampy lips and Cherry for bright reds.
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil 'Red Square': Speaking of bright reds my go-to red this year was NAR's Red Square. It's orangey/red tone makes it perfect for day or night. It is also the easiest red lip to apply due to the format of the chubby pencil.
Chanel Lipstick Rouge Allure Shine 'Romance': My favorite summer lipstick. The formula is balmy and hydrating and the light pink color makes for the perfect compliment to a tan.
Tom Ford Matte Lipstick 'Black Dahlia'*: A staple color this past Fall and Winter, it is the the lipstick I have received the most compliments on ever. It is one of the darkest colors I own but it is incredibly flattering.
Armani Luminous Silk Foundation: The best foundation in my makeup bag hands down. It blends seamlessly, gives the 'your skin but better' finish, and the lack of SPF means no flash back in photos.
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation: My favorite foundation to use on days when I want to have a lighter finish. This product gives the feel of having almost nothing on your skin while still giving a flawless finish. I love this in the summer months when it is hot and sticky out, and also in the winter when my skin is super dry and I need to load up on moisturizer but still add a tint of color.
YSL Touche Éclat: One of my favorite products to finish my face with - especially when I am going all out. It adds the perfect amount of highlight to my inner eye, my brow bone, cupids bow, and the bridge of my nose.
M•A•C Prep + Prime Highlighter: Another newer purchase that has made it's way to the top of my list. I have used this daily since buying it and love how it brightens my face (especially under my eyes). I apply it using the "Kim K" method of an upside down triangle and blend it in with my ring finger.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer: This is definitely the best drugstore concealer that I have it is also a great item for highlighting. I love wearing it along with the M•A•C Prep + Prime to counter act the pinker tones the M•A•C has.
Milani Baked Blush 'Luminoso': This one is such a great drugstore find. The baked formula creates the perfect amount of highlight along with pigment. The peachy tone compliments so many different makeup looks and lip colors.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow: Holy grail status here! This is the perfect bronzer - not too ashy, not too orange. It is my favorite for contouring. The highlight portion of the palette gives the prettiest golden glow that compliments your cheek bones perfectly.
NARS Domination Palette: NARS Laguna has been a bronzer favorite for years so when I had the chance to scoop up this palette that included Laguna and cult classic Orgasm I couldn't say no. Out of this palette Orgasm is definitely the product that gets the most use. It truly is such a flattering shade for so many different looks.
Zoeva Rose Golden Brushes*: The brushes that have dominated my 2014. Not only are they beautiful but they are so soft, don't shed, and work so well. Zoeva has a brush for every application and every product you could think of.
