Review | Beautycounter

A few weeks ago I was introduced to Beautycounter at our Barre Event. The brand was created off the premise that the products we use should be safe and filled with ingredients that are good for our skin (something I can get behind).

Since many of the products that come in contact with our skin include toxins and harmful fragrances (that vague word that includes a whole lot of chemicals); it was great to be introduced to a line that really works to make sure those ingredients are left out. I decided to try a cleanser, their rose water, and their lip conditioner (which made it's debut in my November Favorites). To say I'm a fan of the brand is an understatement. They have seamlessly made their way into my daily routine and work incredibly well.

Cream Cleanser: This is a product that I have incorporated into my morning routine and it is the first thing I reach for when I wake up. I apply it to dry skin and then rinse off with warm water. The citrus scent (which comes from a blend of essential oils) is fresh in the morning and the formula leaves my skin clean and super soft. It is created with organic coconut oil (to help remove buildup), witch hazel (for a toning effect), and aloe to hydrate. There are also extracts of lavender and green tea.

Rose Water: This is the second step in my morning routine. After cleansing and before moisturizing I spritz a bit of this on my face. It helps to refresh my skin and lock in a dewy glow. Even though I apply it before makeup it can also be used to freshen up your skin post application. It is also perfect for flights and long travel days and can also be spritzed on your pillow for a light rose scent.

Lip Conditioner, Peppermint Balm: This is one of the best lip balms I've used of late. I put it on right before bed and when I wake up in the morning. It is created with Avocado Oil, Shea Butter, Peppermint, and Rosemary Leaf Oils. The formula is thick and nourishing without being sticky.
