When a package arrives from Tom Ford on your doorstep it automatically turns a bad day into a great one. There's nothing that a little glamorous packaging and to die for lipstick colors can't fix.
What arrived were bits from this year's holiday collection and they certainly didn't disappoint. The most exciting portion of the collection definitely comes in the form of eight stunning new matte lipsticks (three of which are featured in this post).
The matte lipsticks are incredibly pigmented, shine free, super creamy, and long lasting. The creamy formula won't dry out your lips or feather throughout the day and as the colors do fade they leave behind a lovely stain (often times dark lipsticks become patchy as they fade - these do not). 'Plum Lush' is a lighter, cool toned shade that boast raspberry and purple undertones. This one is great for those who want the berry look without any red tones included. 'Velvet Cherry' and 'Black Dahlia' are the darker two out of the trio and my personal favorites. 'Velvet Cherry' is your true dark, burgundy red shade. It's a classic deep shade without being too dark. 'Black Dahlia' is the darkest shade and boasts deep wine tones. It is absolutely a statement maker - so much so that I've had multiple people stop me and ask what color I am wearing each time I've worn this one.
Saving my personal favorite for last. If you are a liquid liner lover then make sure this is the one thing from Tom Ford on your Christmas list this year. It's their Eye Defining Liquid Eyeliner Pen and holy cow is this stuff good. It's tattoo-like formula is incredibly long wearing (it takes a serious scrub to remove at the end of the day) and it's double sided tip makes for the most precise application I've ever had. The shorter side is fantastic for getting into the inner corner of your eye, but I find working with the longer tip to be easier for the overall liner.
Are any Tom Ford products on your Christmas list this year? If so, which items are you loving and hoping for?
*All Tom Ford products mentioned in this post were sent to me as PR samples for review. All opinions are my own, as I only share products I truly love.
