Until now I have never really used any sort of BB or CC creams. I tested a Revlon BB cream ages ago and found I just wasn't fond of the consistency so I tossed the tube and went right on back to my standard foundations. I decided to give a CC cream a try when stumbling upon this Olay Total Effects version and at first I hated it. After two uses I thought this is definitely getting chucked into the "products that just don't work" pile and declared that "alphabet creams" just aren't for me.
About a week later after becoming increasingly frustrated with my skin and how it was taking makeup I drastically changed up my skincare routine (more on that in another post though). After seeing improvements in my skin and how makeup was sitting on it I decided to give the CC cream another go.
I am converted.
The product blends into my skin like a dream, leaves an extra glowy finish (if you like to matte finishes just a heads up this product isn't for you - it's extra dewy), and gives just the right amount of coverage. At the moment this product seems to be giving me everything I was lacking in many other foundations. By 2pm when I check the mirror my skin still looks dewy, even, and well - like skin. It doesn't have the appearance of product sitting on top of it (which was something I was struggling with before). Granted my new skincare products are a huge contributor to this change, but the Olay CC Cream definitely does what I'm looking for a base to do at the moment. My skin just feels better after using this product.
