Strawberry + Thyme Lemonade

The warmer weather this week has gotten me excited for summer and while recipe searching for the blog I stumbled upon this little gem from Real Simple. It looked all too enticing with it's promise of tart + sweet and a subtle hint of thyme. Also, I had a fridge full of lemons that needed to be used up. It was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by how well everything came together [I was nervous about how it would taste since I was making the lemonade freshly squeezed]. The extra bonus...Real Simple encourages a splash of vodka if you are looking to serve this as a happy hour option.

Have you ever made anything freshly squeezed? I really loved the taste, it makes a huge difference. I'm looking to make OJ next.

  1. Yum!! So perfect for a refresher on those hot days, or as a cocktail on summer nights! I wouldn't have thought of combining thyme and strawberries, but it's super intriguing! Yes, I fresh squeeze lemons, limes and oranges all of the time. We like our margaritas completely fresh so we squeeze a lotttt of limes! xo
