Gwyneth Paltrow Recipe 6 : Dark Chocolate Bark


I couldn't have been more excited to find a chocolate recipe buried in Gwyneth's book. There is absolutely no food I love more than chocolate. Let me correct that...dark chocolate...with sea salt. The combination of salty + sweet is my absolute favorite so when Gwyneth suggested this recipe as a clean and healthy option for dessert I was so on board. 

What You'll Need :
1] 7 ounces of good-quality dark chocolate, roughly chopped
2] 2 tablespoons of sliced almonds
3] 2 tablespoons of unsweetened coconut flakes
4] 1 teaspoon of sea salt

Line a sheet pan with parchment paper [or aluminum foil] and set aside.

Melt your chocolate [I melt mine on the stove and find that is the easiest way.] Stir the chocolate until it is completely melted and immediately pour onto your prepared sheet. Evenly sprinkle the almonds, coconut, and sea salt over the chocolate. Put the chocolate in the freezer for 15 minutes, or until it sets [which I find can be longer depending on the thickness]. Break the chocolate into even pieces and store in the refrigerator.

ps : This is a perfect recipe to whip up as a homemade Valentine's day treat :)
