Eyeko + Alexa Chung

Right around Christmas I ran out of basically all of my makeup; no joke all of it. I got some really fantastic new products which I will be talking about in the coming weeks, but today's focus is all about the eyes. It's no secret that I'm slightly obsessed with Alexa Chung. So when I learned that she was doing a collaboration with London based makeup brand Eyeko [very cool brand by the way, all focused on eye makeup]; I immediately began searching for how to find the products. Fortunately for me Sephora carried the full set

I ordered it immediately [because as many of you might know I cannot live without my liquid eyeliner!] and was surprised to find it on my doorstep almost instantly. The branding for this stuff is so much fun, the writing on the tubes/products is Alexa's own and it also comes with fun accessories and goodies. She worked with them to design an eyeliner that is easy to use with a jet black formula and a mascara to match. While the liner for me is very different than my beloved Maybelline Line Stiletto [which goes on much wetter] Eye-Do truly is perfect for creating Alexa's signature cat-eye. Never before have I been able to simply "flick" the corner of my eye to create the wing of my liner. This is love. I'm still learning to perfect the line across my eye with the different formula but that will come in time. Moving onto the mascara though. This stuff is fantastic. The brush is huge, the color jet black, and the application smooth. I really like how well it separates my spidery lashes that love to tangle. It can be worn with a simple swipe but it also layers really nicely without looking cakey and starting to flake.

Overall, I am incredibly happy with this purchase and naturally love Alexa even more now.

Have any of you tried this one yet? Do you have other mascara/liner combos you swear by? I'd love to hear being the makeup junkie I am!
