Currently Loving

I feel as though I haven't done a proper Currently Loving in ages! Well here one is!

[1] Per Gwyneth coffee, soda, basically caffeine in general are a no-no. Therefore lots of tea is being made in this house. My dear friend Brittany gifted me with Trader Joes [decaf] Candy Cane Green Tea. It is heaven, thank you Britt :)
[2] Birchbox number two arrived! [Thank you again Jordan!]
[3] London based nail polish Nail Rock was one of my Birchbox items. The navy blue color is actually on my fingers in these shots. The velvet...long story. It was fun, but I don't think I applied it quite the right way. More practice is needed, this is the first time I've ever attempted a textural nail.
[5] Klorane dry shampoo. It's like Birchbox read my mind in that one of the top things I needed was dry shampoo. I love this one so far.
[6] From Friday through Monday morning I was without cable/internet. Cable I don't care so much about, I'm a happy camper with the TV off or even just Sex and the City re-runs playing. Internet...well as a blogger I was at a loss. I eventually trekked down to Starbucks Sunday night to get my blog prepped for the week. It actually worked out well, it was the most productive Sunday night of blogging in ages. The other plus, lots of reading and lounging was accomplished.
[7] I tried Duke's Grocery on Saturday night for drinks. It is an East London style bar, very cool vibe. I was totally in love with the light fixtures.

Happy Wednesday readers, we are that much closer to the weekend.

  1. Loving your pictures! Do you take any of them on your iphone? I am trying to get better at taking pics on the phone! If so how do you get them so clear and bright? Loving everything about your blog, keep up the amazing work.

    1. Hi there!

Most photos I take on my Canon SLR camera but every now and then I use my iPhone. All of the small square photos in today's post were actually shot with my iPhone. The two larger rectangular shots were with my Canon.

I have an iPhone 5 and an apartment with insane natural light. That is where I snap most of them. I'm very picky about lighting (its what truly makes the photos come out so well.) and I more times than not shoot on a white background which helps too. Other than that, keeping my hands as absolutely steady as possible is the other trick!

Hope this helps, please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions :)
