Hello Monday

This past weekend was such a good one. On Sunday especially, the girls and I ventured up into Adams Morgan/Kalorama for the afternoon. I find that each "neighborhood" of DC is so incredibly different. Downtown is all buildings, little to no trees, and lots going on; whereas uptown in Kalorama the streets are filled with beautiful row homes and historic buildings all lined with stunning trees. Fall was abundant up there and the colors were amazing. We popped into old favorite Tryst, for an early lunch/brunch and some coffee. Sadly we didn't get an outdoor/window table and it was just dark enough the photos didn't really turn out too well. I can however say that if you are in the neighborhood, you absolutely have to stop in and order the Pumpkin Waffles. [I was about ready to lick clean the bowl of whipped & flavored butter they serve them with!]

Hope all of you had fantastic weekends!

  1. Sounds like a wonderful weekend! I love DC. I have a friend that lives just outside of DC, so I have an extra excuse to go down there more often :) I really enjoy Georgetown—there is so much character and great shopping!

    1. I love Georgetown, although I get into SO much trouble there with all the stores. (Especially the Kate Spade store!)
You should let me know the next time you're here, we can grab coffee!
